The Wharton China Business Society, in collaboration with the Penn Wharton China Center, the Wharton Asia Exchange, and the Undergraduate Media and Entertainment Club, presents the first Chinese Media & Entertainment Panel. The event will be held at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia on Friday, March 30 at 2 PM – 3:30 PM.
Donna Smith will be the keynote speaker at this special WCBS event. Elizabeth Harrington, the U.S. Publisher at Large for the influential Hurun Report, will moderate this exciting conversation on the cross-border implications and transactions occurring between two entertainment giants, and what the future of international media holds for the U.S. and China.
Donna Smith will be accompanied by several other influential panelists in the industry, including, Derek Dessler, an acclaimed entertainment attorney at Universal Music; Sarah Annas, the CEO and co-founder of a VR/AR platform and laboratory with China Continental International Center TV, Dell, and Nokia; and Eric Mark, who formerly led the media and entertainment–strategy practice at Deloitte and now runs his own boutique firm, in addition to acting in, writing, and producing film and TV projects.
